Castello Normanno Svevo

ITALIANO :  Emblema di Salemi è sicuramente il Castello Normanno - Svevo, edificato da Ruggero il Normanno intorno al 1077 e ultimato da Federico II di Svevia. Allo stato attuale la struttura ha una forma quadrangolare. Nei singoli vertici del quadrato sono situate le tre torri di cui una rotonda (detta “cannuni”-cannone o “turri tunna” -torre rotonda). Interamente in pietra campanedda, è la costruzione più imponente di Salemi. É posizionato nella parte più alta della città e dalle sue torri è possibile vedere gran parte della parte più occidentale della Sicilia. 

ENGLISH : The Norman-Swabian Castle, entirely made of campanedda stone, is the most impressive building in Salemi. It is located in the highest part of the city, and from its towers, you can see most of the western part of Sicily. It was built by Roger the Norman around 1077 and completed by Frederick II of Swabia. The structure has a quadrangular shape, and at the vertices of the square are the three towers, one of which is round (called "cannuni" or "turri tunna"). 

FRANÇAIS : Emblème de Salemi est certainement le Château Normand - Souabe, construit par Roger le Normand vers 1077 et achevé par Frédéric II de Souabe. À l’heure actuelle, la structure a une forme quadrangulaire. Dans les sommets individuels du carré se trouvent

les trois tours dont une ronde (appelée "cannuni"-cannone ou "turri tunna" -tour ronde). Entièrement en pierre campanedda, c’est la construction la plus imposante de Salemi. Il est situé dans la partie la plus haute de la ville et de ses tours, vous pouvez la partie la plus

occidentale de la Sicile et une grande partie de la province d’Agrigente et de Palerme.
