ITALIANO : Salemi è una cittadina in provincia di Trapani collocata su una collina a 442 metri sul livello del mare: si trova al centro della provincia ed è circondata da colline coltivate a vigneti ed uliveti e si raccoglie intorno al castello, dal cui terrazzo della torre circolare è possibile scorgere un panorama sulla Valle di Mazara e gran parte della provincia di Agrigento e Palermo. L’economia di Salemi si basa principalmente sull’agricoltura e sulla commercializzazione di prodotti come vino, grano, olio e agrumi. Salemi ha iniziato a rivolgere la propria attenzione anche al settore turistico, infatti dal 2016 la città di Salemi è entrata a far parte del Club Borghi più belli d’Italia e nel 2023 Salemi si è classificata 3° borgo più bello d’Italia. Un avvenimento degno di nota nella storia di Salemi e di tutta la valle del Belice è il terremoto del 1968 (nella notte tra il 14 e il 15 Gennaio) che lacerò e distrusse molti paesi. Simbolo del sisma a Salemi è la Piazza Alicia, dove i ruderi della Ex Chiesa Madre sono testimoni muti. 

ENGLISH :  Salemi is a town in the province of Trapani located on a hill 442 meters above sea level. It is situated in the center of the province and is surrounded by hills planted with vineyards and olive groves. The town gathers around the castle, from whose terrace on the circular tower you can see a panorama of the Valley of Mazara and much of the provinces of Agrigento and Palermo. Salemi’s economy is mainly based on agriculture and the marketing of products such as wine, wheat, oil, and citrus. Since 2016, Salemi has turned its attention to the tourism sector. In fact, in 2016, the city became part of the Club “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” and in 2023 it was ranked the third most beautiful village in Italy. An event worthy of note in the history of Salemi and the whole Valley of Belice is the earthquake of 1968 (in the night between January 14 and 15) that damaged and destroyed many villages. A symbol of the earthquake in Salemi is Piazza Alicia, where the ruins of the former Chiesa Madre are silent witnesses. 

FRANÇAIS : Salemi est une petite ville dans la province de Trapani située sur une colline à 442 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer: elle est située au centre de la province et est entourée de collines plantées de vignes et d’oliviers et se rassemble autour du château, De la terrasse de la tour circulaire, vous pouvez voir un panorama sur la vallée de Mazara et une grande partie de la province d’Agrigente et de Palerme. L’économie de Salemi repose principalement sur l’agriculture et la commercialisation de produits tels que le vin, le blé, l’huile et les agrumes. Salemi a commencé à tourner son attention aussi au secteur touristique, en effet depuis 2016 la ville de Salemi est entrée à faire partie du Club Borghi plus beaux d’Italie et en 2023 Salemi s’est classée 3e plus beau village d’Italie. Un événement remarquable dans l’histoire de Salemi et de toute la vallée du Belice est le tremblement de terre de 1968 (dans la nuit du 14 au 15 janvier) qui a endommagé et détruit de nombreux pays. Le symbole du séisme à Salemi est la Piazza Alicia, où les ruines de l’Ancienne Église Mère sont des témoins muets.
